The term CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. It is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that responses are not computer-generated, instead by humans. A common type of CAPTCHA requires the user to type letters or numbers or both from a distorted image that appears on the screen.
D-Link - a global leader in connectivity for small, medium and large enterprise business networking is the first company to integrate ‘CAPTCHA’ system to its home routers. It’s a grate innovative addition to reduce automated network attacks and subsequent security concerns such as Trojan Horses. This malicious software are downloaded unknowingly by internet users when performing common tasks and can alter the victim’s domain name system (DNS) records to divert all traffic through a targeted network first.
