Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds - Dual-Display Mobile Workstation

To give the same experience of desktop having dual display, Lenovo a leading laptop and system manufacturer, introduced their ThinkPad W700ds. They built a mobile workstation which will give dual-display desktop environment to the professionals in all fields.

ThinkPad W700ds has a 17-inc primary display with a 10.6-inch cockpit display which made it more attractive and usable to the users. Both the displays are supposed to be the brightest on the market. The ThinkPad W700ds comes with the Intel Core 2 Quad processors and combined with the NVDIA Quadro FX 3700M GPU. W700ds supports maximum 8GB of DDR3 RAM and dual integrated hard disk drives that can be configured in a RAID array. The mobile workstation uses about 75 watts of power and gets about 2 hours of battery life. If a user runs the display at half brightness, the battery life extends to 3.5 hours. The ThinkPad W700ds features three video ports that support dual-link DVI Display Port and VGA. The weight of this package is 11 pound.

The Lenovo W700ds supports all versions of Microsoft Windows XP and Vista and several Linux distributions including Fedora Core, Red Hat and Ubuntu. It also configured to support Windows 7 in the future.
