MSI N285GTX SuperPipe 2G
Today MSI (Micro Star International) launched a new graphics card called N285GTX SuperPipe 2G with enormous features including their SuperPipe and Twin Frozr technology. The N285GTX SuperPipe 2G is powered by one of the most powerful GPUs in the market – the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285. This graphics module adds 2GB GDDR3 RAM and utilizes MSI’s exclusive SuperPipe and Twin Frozr thermal design.
The N285GTX SuperPipe 2G is equipped with MSI’s SuperPipe technology. The heatpipe on a graphics card is a very important component because it dissipates heat away from the GPU to the surrounding fins. MSI’s SuperPipe technology uses 8mm thick heatpipe, which is 60% thicker than the traditional heatpipes, and improves the cooling by 90%.
Twin Frozr thermal design features an intelligent dual-PWM fan that changes speed with the GPU’s temperature and load to keep it cool. After eliminating the heat of the GPU produced during running 3D applications the card remains almost silent. Twin Frozr cooling system uses an industry leading 5-heatpipe which greatly increased the speed of the heat flow.
DirectX® 10 games require more video memory to sport more realistic environments to gamers. The N285GTX SuperPipe 2G comes with 2GB of DDR3 VRAM to run the special effects smoothly.
