AVerMedia Released Volar MAX USB HDTV Tuner

AVerMedia on Monday announced the launch of the AVerTVHD Volar Max, a new USB 2.0-based TV tuner. This TV tuner is both PC and Mac compatible.

The AVerTVHD Volar Max  is able to receive HD digital television (ATSC) and unencrypted digital cable (ClearQAM) signals, at up to 1080i resolution.

The device comes with AVerTV for Mac and Aver MediaCenter for PC software, used to watch HDTV programming. Users can schedule recordings and timeshift programming, although resolutions are limited to a maximum of 1080i.

It supports closed captions and digital surround sound. The PC version’s software also offers the ability to record video in H.264 format (320 x 240 resolution) and play it back on an Apple iPod.

    Yes thats a right tuner i was expecting such a tuner it is very flexible and usable product. It will got toomuch success because of it’s quality as well as it is suitable for Pioneer Elite PRO150FD 60 inch Plasma 1080p HDTV.
