Samsung Luxia 8000 Series : Ultra-thin Flat-Panel LED HDTV

Samsung’s latest HDTVs was displayed  in the last International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) at the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 8, 2009. With the launching of  Samsung Luxia 8000, 7000 and 6000 Series LED HDTVs, Samsung has proven their expertness on Ultra-thin LED HDTVs and strong position on the electronics market. The new Samsung 3rd generation LED HDTVs uses their primary light source by  LEDs, rather than Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL). Benefits of using  LEDs are highlighted dynamic  contrast ratios and color details, Ultra-thin 6.5mm LCD panel and less energy consumption.

The Samsung Luxia 8000 series featured with Auto Motion Plus™ frame interpolation technology and fast refresh rates of 240 Hz that nearly eliminates the ill effects of displaying quick, action-packed motion. The Samsung 8000 series is also featured with Media@2.0™  suite. The Media@2.0™  suite has wire and wireless DLNA compatibility. With the Media@2.0™  one can enjoy photos, music and videos from a networked PC right on the television. It has also Internet@TV- Content Service with which one can access content onscreen from Yahoo!, Flickr, YouTube and many more. The Samsung 8000 series is also featured with the latest version of Samsung’s Touch of Color™ (ToC™) as a clear prism. it is Energy Star® v3.0 compliant and can save 40% energy.

The Samsung LED HDTV 8000 series has the screen range of 45.9-inch (UN46B8000) and 54.6-inch (UN55B8000). It will be available in the market from May 2009 and  will cost  $3,299 USD for 45.9-inch and $3,999 USD for 54.6-inch.
There is a little bit difference between 8000,7000 and 6000 series.
