Intel just got finished telling us how great its Atom Z5xx series of chips were, in flavors ranging from 1.1 to 1.86GHz, and how they only needed a miserly 2.2 watts or less of power. Officially Intel revealed its latest Atom Z5xx series processors in this month.
The new Z550 is providing a core speed of 2.0GHz, which will make the upcoming Atom processor the fastest CPU in its family. It is the fastest chip that Atom processor. The max TDP of the Z550 may be up to 2GB memory crossing. In combination with the HMA500-IGP, which is clock at 200MHz, the Z550 is capable of 720p video playback. All of the new chips have integrated Intel GMA500 graphics, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC1, and WMV9 video decoding. Intel is reportedly planning to expand its range of netbook-focused Atom Z550 and Z515 processors. Finally it has successfully finished.
These two CPU’s now available from this month. Here Moorestown plays an important and significant step forwards than just dynamic clock speeds. It unveils a memory controller, a graphics core video processing and an Atom core into the same package. We think that this Atom Z5xx series will earn more popularity for their dynamic clock speed and their high performance.
